About Us
Napples is a tribute to Neapolitan pizzerias found overseas, including those born from the American dream lived by the first Italian immigrants in the Big Apple. In particular, Napples tells the story of Salvatore Riccio, a long-time friend of the great-grandfather of Gaetano, who owns Napples together with Giorgio. In the 1940s, Mr Riccio opened one of the very first Neapolitan pizzerias in New York City. Today, on the walls of Napples, you can retrace his fascinating story through photographs and copies of original documents in a restaurant-museum with an urban chic and industrial look. Of course, you can do this while also enjoying authentic Neapolitan pizzas made with excellent Italian products: Calabrian ‘nduja, Bra sausage, Pachino tomatoes and Apulian buffalo mozzarella to name but a few.
